Christopher D. Southgate Joins JMIN’s Patents and IP Strategy Practices
JMIN is pleased to announce that Christopher D. Southgate joined the firm as Of Counsel in the Patents and IP Strategy practice groups. He is licensed to practice in both Massachusetts and the District of Columbia.
Seasoned in working with university and corporate clients, Christopher has also worked with pharmaceutical companies and biotech startups. He is especially skilled at providing thorough and comprehensive freedom-to-operate and patent landscape analyses.
Prior to joining JMIN, Christopher was a director and patent counsel at PTC Therapeutics for three years. Before that, he was a senior life sciences patent attorney at a bustling New Jersey-based IP boutique law firm.
Christopher received his law degree from the American University Washington College of Law. He also received a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the Institute for Molecular Biology, University of Zürich, Switzerland.
